The MILITANT automatic switchblades series was created with beat officers in mind; they combine the effective size for sending a message with lightweight construction and slender shape. They are real combat automatic knives without being bulky.
The firing button of these automatic switchblades is almost flush with their handle's surface; thus lessening the need for a safety lock so as to prevent fumbling with it.
Their hollow-ground, sharp blade is of the bayonet type shape, typical with high penetration ability automatic switchblades.
The handle is slim and long, very comfortable to hold.
They all come with solid non-removable-clip and can also be carried in one's pocket without too much discomfort.

Buying mid-size automatic switchblades, things to consider.
The mid-sized automatic switchblades are, in our experience the most versatile of all available sizes. They combines the firing-speed of a switchblade with the practical requirements of classics single-bladed pocket/folding knife, and therefore, one should consider the following when thinking about acquiring one:

Consider weight. There is a good correlation between the construction-quality of switchblades and their weight. Cheap mid-size switchblades are usually light, around 3 ounces. The quality mid-size automatic switchblades go with 6oz and more; they will last you for life but are not really pocket-friendly. One solution would be to buy a mid-size switchblade autoatic knife with an aluminum-handle from a well-reputed source.
A mid-size switchblade of 6oz and more should have a clip. Pay close attention and check the type of clip it has. Some auto knives come with a strong clip integrated into their handle’s design, resulting in a completely different layout of that handle's sides; in other words, the handle's sides are not made the same.
440C steel is a must. A mid-size auto knife is meant to perform all pocketknives functions; deterrence being only a small part of them.

The Bottom Line: a mid-size automatic knife is something that you might want to carry with you all the time; expecting it to function smoothly and keep its edge for a reasonable amount of work done. Think a lot of usage, tasks and practicality, before you think tactical, fighting and such.

I love this knife. This is fairly strong and durable knife for the weight and price. I really like the fact that it came with a nylon pouch as well. Its great having it so easily accessible right there on your belt. It also has a nice sturdy clip on it as well which is another plus. I highly recommend this knife to everyone. It deploys fast and strongly in the blink of an eye. I collect and use pocket knives everyday around the house, at work, everywhere and this knife has never let me down. Great knife for the price. Don't hesitate. Buy it now, you won't regret it
