What is a LockBack?
It’s a system to lock the blade of a folding knife so it stays open without folding back accidentally. A LockBack Knife has a spring loaded locking bar (at the back of its handle) with a tooth at the end. That tooth falls into a the notch that is cut the blade’s tang and holds the blade with the force of the spring tension. A portion of the handle’s spine is cut-out a bit, that's where you push to release the blade from that LockBack Pocket Knife system. LockBack Knives require both hands to unlock and close the blade.
