The ACE firing force come from being armed manually and not automatically as do most of the OTF automatic on the market.  The manual arming allows the usage of a longer spring. The bottom line: that's the only OTF armed-manually that we could find. The out of front is a delicate firing system; misuse the knife and chances are that it will fall apart. The ACE1-1 OTF Automatic. December 26, 2009 Reviewer: Michael Nowak from Oak Creek, WI United States   Over the last several months I purchased several. Very high quality and fun to operate. Let's face it, I also carry the knife around for lets say protection! Guys this OTF Automatic is very well made and slender to fit in the front my jeans.
