Butterfly Knives
(a.k.a Balisong)

Have a serious, fast and efficient tactical ability with the YAME series of Butterfly Knives
  • These are stern large Butterfly Knives ; 9in. long when fully deployed; they fit and are comfortable to hold for most of palms that are on the large side.
  • Weight around 6oz and of in. size when folded, a bit heavy for regular pocket, however they come with a very convenient hard belt-case.
  • The blade is probably made of 440c steel; it is of the slightly clipped drop-point type and mirror finished. It is well sharpen and hollow grounded.
  • Can serve well as an all-purpose knife.
  • The edge is non-serrated, smooth and hollow grounded.
  • The handle is made out of steel. It is of the skeletal type.
  • The G-10 handle scales are kind of austere in aspect, quite elegant if anybody asks me.
  • Yes the knives are made in China (so marked on its blade), however nothing is wrong with their quality. The knives operate smoothly; they are sturdy and flawlessly finished as well.
Bottom line: These are no freels andvery good Butterfly Knives for the big boys. Treat one well and it will serve you the same.

Tip 1
Hold the latched handle part when wrist flipping.
The latch is the most vulnerable part of any Butterfly Knife, it breaks when the knife is flipped non-stop compulsively.

Personal note; the latches of all Butterfly Knives are nothing but a nuisance in my view, it makes flipping uncomfortable, and it is not like the knife will open and bite you in the ass or something. I got rid of mine.

Tip 2
Buy and practice with a training Butterfly Knife before going trying to pull a Ninja flipping.
Good Butterfly Knives do not come cheap. They might brake and even hurt you if you flip that thing all over the places without any training.

Tip 3
It is worth to go on YouTube and make a search for "flip a butterfly knife" you'll get a bunch of tutorials as to how to do that.
